Patel Celebrates 200 Days Of FBI Arrests, Drug Seizures, And Child Rescues

FBI Director Kash Patel utilized social media on Saturday to highlight the bureau’s accomplishments during the initial 200 days of President Donald Trump’s second term.

“200 Days of Trump Administration, From January 20 to Present: The FBI has apprehended over 1,600 individuals for violent crimes against children, including 270 arrests related to human trafficking,” Patel stated on X.

Patel noted that agents have confiscated 1,500 kilos of fentanyl — “sufficient lethal doses to end the lives of 113,850,000 Americans” — during this period, describing it as the “highest ever” and a 25% increase compared to the same timeframe last year.

“We anticipate collaborating with our @SecDef and DoD partners to enhance our efforts, thanks to @realDonaldTrump for the new authorities,” he added.

Patel also mentioned that the FBI had identified and located 4,000 child victims.

“FBI investigations aimed at Foreign Terrorist Organizations have led to 1,000 arrests of individuals intending to harm our nation. We seized 6,300 kilos of methamphetamines, which equates to lives saved,” he wrote, including the hashtag “#SummerHeat.”

The White House also shared a post on X Saturday, promoting “200 Days of American Renewal” and highlighting achievements ranging from “historic border security to infrastructure revitalization.”

Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino, who, according to a source, had contemplated resigning earlier this summer due to the administration’s management of the Epstein files, shared Patel’s update.

“This is merely the beginning of the beginning. More is forthcoming,” Bongino wrote.

Some supporters of Trump have voiced their dissatisfaction regarding the lack of transparency surrounding the Epstein files. The Justice Department has refuted the existence of an Epstein client list.

Last month, President Trump defended Attorney General Pam Bondi’s management of the situation, asserting, “She has performed exceptionally well.”

On Thursday, the FBI consented to aid in the capture of Texas Democrats who absconded from the state to prevent the Texas House from achieving a quorum and conducting legislative activities, as stated by a prominent U.S. senator from the Lone Star state.

Over 50 Democratic lawmakers departed Texas on Sunday, with many heading to Chicago, to obstruct a planned vote on redistricting and effectively halt all proceedings during the special legislative session. Their exit also aimed to evade possible arrest by state law enforcement.

U.S. Senator John Cornyn, R-Texas, on Tuesday urged FBI Director Kash Patel to have the FBI track down House Democrats who are out of state and detain them, according to reports.

“I am pleased to announce that Director Kash Patel has granted my request for the FBI to assist state and local law enforcement in locating the runaway Texas House Democrats,” Cornyn stated.

“I express my gratitude to President Trump and Director Patel for their support and prompt action regarding my appeal for the federal government to hold these alleged lawmakers accountable for abandoning Texas. We cannot permit these renegade legislators to evade their constitutional duties,” he added.

In the meantime, during a press conference at the White House on Wednesday, President Trump was questioned about Cornyn’s appeal to the FBI.

“Well, they may have to,” he remarked regarding the FBI’s potential assistance in detaining the absent Texas Democrats. “I know they want them back. The Governor of Texas is insisting they return. Therefore, many people are demanding their return. You cannot simply sit it out. You must go back. You must engage in the fight. That is the essence of elections.”

However, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R), who is set to challenge Cornyn in a primary next year, did not regard the involvement of the FBI as significant. “This is a state matter. I am uncertain about the FBI’s role in this – it is nonexistent. This is strictly a state issue,” he remarked during a podcast.

In response, Cornyn stated that “the FBI possesses resources to assist state law enforcement when individuals cross state lines, particularly to evade testimony or escape from a crime scene.”

“In particular, I am worried that legislators who have solicited or accepted funds to facilitate their evasion of legislative responsibilities may be committing bribery or other forms of public corruption,” he further noted.
