State of Mexico.- On Wednesday, November 20, a multiple vehicle collision took place on the Mexico-Querétaro Highway, specifically at kilometer 059+000 in Huehuetoca, State of Mexico. The incident involved a trailer that, unable to stop in time, crashed into several other vehicles. Consequently, the trailer ended up blocking the road, occupying all three lanes heading north.

Causes of the accident and traffic conditions
The collision occurred while the trailer was en route to Mexico City. The driver failed to brake adequately before reaching the Jorobas intersection, resulting in a crash against a bank, followed by impacts with five cars and a pickup truck.

Due to the wet road conditions resulting from the day’s rainfall, it is believed that these factors may have contributed to the accident; however, authorities are set to conduct an investigation to determine the exact cause.

Injuries and safety recommendations
Paramedics arrived promptly at the scene to attend to the injured individuals, who sustained minor injuries. While no serious injuries were reported, paramedics advised that some individuals should seek further evaluation at the hospital.
